Everything you want to know about a wedding website and online invitations - before you write your first message.
A wedding website is a dedicated site built for your ceremony and reception. It runs on its own domain (e.g. anna-and-john.naszwielkidzien.pl) and carries everything your guests need: the date, the venue with an interactive map, an RSVP form, a photo gallery and a countdown to the day. It usually goes hand in hand with a printed invitation: the card carries a QR code and the website carries the rest. It is also called an online wedding invitation.
An online wedding website is a full website dedicated to your wedding - running on its own domain, with RSVP, a gallery and a map. "Online invitation" is just a colloquial name for the same thing. Either way it completes a printed invitation rather than replacing it.
At Nasz Wielki Dzień a wedding website costs from PLN 300 as a one-off payment. That price includes the design, the build, your own address (e.g. anna-and-john.naszwielkidzien.pl) and a year of keeping the site online. There are no subscriptions, guest limits or hidden fees. The site runs for a year from launch, and the shared gallery of wedding photographs (up to 300 photos or 2 GB) for a month after the day.
Online RSVP is an interactive form on the wedding website where guests confirm their attendance. A guest opens the link on their phone, fills in a short form (name, attendance, dietary needs, number of people) and sends their reply with one click. The couple gets an email notification with every reply and can see the guest list in real time.
A wedding website does not replace the invitation, it does what a card cannot: it takes guests to the venue, collects RSVPs with dietary needs and accommodation, shows the running order and can be corrected after it has gone out. A printed invitation invites, and stays as a keepsake. The easiest arrangement is both: a paper invitation with a QR code leading to the website.
Usually 5 to 7 working days from the moment you send us your material (photos, content, venue details). During that time we put the design together, set up RSVP, create your address and test the site on every device. It is worth ordering before the invitations go to print, so the QR code can be part of the artwork.
With tools where you build the site yourself, the design comes out of ready-made blocks and the address usually belongs to the platform. A wedding website from Nasz Wielki Dzień is put together for you: your own domain, no ads, the full set of features (RSVP, map, gallery, music, countdown) and no subscription.
Yes. The site is designed mobile-first - buttons are large, navigation is intuitive, and RSVP takes two taps. In our experience even older guests have no trouble with it, and they appreciate the clear map and not having to phone anyone for details.
The package includes 24 features, and all of them are available in every one of the 11 themes: RSVP, a day plan, a seating plan, the venue with a map, transport and accommodation information, a section for guests bringing children, phone numbers for the organisers, a QR code for the invitation and a second one for the gallery, a website theme picker, your own photos, a photo gallery, a gifts section, a countdown to the day, a version in another language, a quiz about the couple, guest book wishes, a dress code, a wedding menu with food and drink details, the couple's story, a unique website address, and password protection. Your own domain, a year of keeping the site online and a secure connection (the padlock in the browser) are included in the price.
Yes - we personalise colours, fonts, photos, content and section layout. We pick one of eleven ready-made themes and match it to the style of your wedding (boho, glamour, minimalist, rustic). A version in another language for guests from abroad is included in the price - every demo can be viewed in both languages. Bigger changes, such as entirely new sections, are quoted individually.
Every theme is designed mobile-first. The site displays correctly on smartphones, tablets and computers. It meets Google's Core Web Vitals requirements, which means fast loading even on a slower mobile connection.
Guests get there through a link (e.g. sophia-and-michael.naszwielkidzien.pl) or by scanning a QR code. The link can be sent by text, Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp, but most often it reaches guests as a QR code printed on the invitation. The site can be publicly available or password protected - in that case each guest has to enter the password given in the invitation.
Yes - a wedding website needs no printing, envelopes, stamps or postal delivery. For a wedding with 100 guests that saves several kilograms of paper and avoids the CO2 emissions tied to delivery. For eco-conscious couples it's a choice that fits the spirit of a slow wedding.
Yes. Once the site is live you can update the content - change the times, add parking information, update the schedule. That's one of the biggest advantages over paper invitations, where any change means reprinting.
Of course - it's a popular choice. You print elegant envelopes with a QR code or a short website address. The paper handles the ceremonial gesture, while the website gives guests the full set of information and easy RSVP.
It's a growing standard, not a passing fashion. Over 60% of modern couples in Poland consider or use a wedding website. The pandemic sped up the trend, but the main drivers are convenience, cost savings and functionality that paper simply can't offer.
