Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This is an informational translation. The binding version is the Polish one, available at naszwielkidzien.pl/polityka-prywatnosci.

This Privacy Policy describes how Nasz Wielki Dzień collects, uses and protects your personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Bartłomiej Banakiewicz, operating an unregistered business activity (działalność nierejestrowana) under the "Nasz Wielki Dzień" brand (Article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law, Prawo przedsiębiorców), through the naszwielkidzien.pl website.

No data protection officer has been appointed. For all matters relating to the processing of personal data, contact is direct: kontakt@naszwielkidzien.pl.

2. What data we collect and why

Contact form - we collect your name, email address, wedding date, and optionally also your phone number, guest count, chosen theme, budget, desired website address, chosen add-on features and the content of your message. We process this data solely to prepare a quote and respond to your enquiry (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) - we collect anonymous data about traffic on the site (number of visits, traffic sources, time spent on the site). Once you give consent, we process it on that basis (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Before you give consent, we receive only an anonymous signal about the visit and on-site traffic - without cookies and without an identifier that would let us recognise you. The basis is then our legitimate interest in keeping visit statistics (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies

We use three types of cookies: essential ones needed for the site to work (always active), analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (Meta Pixel - Facebook and Instagram). Analytics and marketing cookies are only set once you give consent.

Among the essential cookies we store nwd_lang, which remembers the language version of the site you chose (Polish or English), so you do not have to choose again on your next visit. It is only set once you click the language switch, it is kept for a year, and it is not used for tracking or profiling - it serves solely to provide the service you asked for, so it does not require consent.

Before you give consent, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode (Consent Mode): it receives an anonymous signal about the visit and on-site traffic (for example that another page was opened), without storing cookies and without an identifier that would let us recognise you or link the visit to another one. Meta Pixel sends nothing until consent is given.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings or withdraw consent at any time - by clicking the "Manage cookies" button available in the site footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics - a traffic analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google may transfer the collected data to servers in the USA. Google LLC has joined the Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of data protection.

More information on how Google processes data is available in Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram)

If you give consent to marketing cookies, we use Meta Pixel - a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). It lets us measure the effectiveness of ads run on Facebook and Instagram and avoid showing them to people who have already contacted us.

Meta may also process this data outside the European Economic Area, based on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. For the data collected by the pixel, Meta and we are joint controllers.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without it, the pixel sends no data. More information: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

6. How long we keep your data

Contact form data - for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry, no longer than 12 months from the last correspondence.

Analytics data (Google Analytics) - in line with the data retention settings in Google Analytics (14 months by default).

7. Who we share data with

Your data may only be shared with trusted data processors: our hosting and mail server provider (handling the contact form), Google LLC (traffic statistics - before your consent only the anonymous signal described above, after consent in full), and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (ad effectiveness measurement - after your consent).

We do not sell personal data to third parties and do not share it with anyone beyond those listed above.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights in connection with the processing of your personal data:

- the right to access your data and receive a copy of it, - the right to rectification (correction) of your data, - the right to erasure ("the right to be forgotten"), - the right to restriction of processing, - the right to data portability, - the right to object to processing, - the right to withdraw consent (where processing is based on it), - the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).

To exercise the rights above, write to: kontakt@naszwielkidzien.pl.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We will inform you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date shown below. We recommend checking this page regularly.
