Everything about wedding websites online - a complete guide

Our blog is a source of practical advice for couples planning a wedding. We write about online wedding invitations, wedding websites, online RSVP, planning the big day and the latest wedding trends for 2025 and 2026. Every article is based on our experience building wedding websites and conversations with couples who've used our service.

A wedding website is a dedicated site created specifically for one wedding. It complements a printed invitation - usually through a QR code on the card - and gives guests convenient access to everything they need: the date and time of the ceremony, the venue address, directions, an RSVP form, a photo gallery, the order of the day, a gift list and more. The invitation invites and stays as a keepsake, while the website answers the questions that come later - guests check the details any time, without hunting for a card in a drawer.

This is one of the questions we hear most often. A printed invitation does its job: it invites people by name and stays as a keepsake. The website does what a card cannot - the running order hour by hour, directions, accommodation, the dress code, and RSVPs with dietary needs. The easiest arrangement is both: a QR code on the invitation, and the inserts with the map and the reply card stop being necessary. On our blog we set that division of labour out step by step.

An RSVP form on a wedding website lets guests confirm attendance in a few clicks. Instead of collecting confirmations by phone, text message or spreadsheet, the couple gets every response in one place. Modern RSVP forms can collect information about food allergies, menu preferences, the number of accompanying guests, transport needs and song requests for the wedding. Responses update in real time, which makes planning and communicating with the venue easier.

Wedding trends change every season. In 2025 and 2026, minimalist wedding websites in warm earth tones are dominant, along with personalised RSVP forms with menu and song request features, interactive maps with multiple pins, animated countdowns, photo galleries guests can add to, and digital gift lists or honeymoon funds. On our blog we regularly cover these trends and show how we bring them to life in our themes.

A really good online wedding invitation includes: the couple's names and wedding date, the address and directions to the church and venue, the order of the day, an RSVP form, a photo gallery, an accommodation section, a gift list or bank account number, contact details for the witnesses, a countdown to the big day and dress code information. Optionally you can add the couple's story, a song request section and an inspiration board. Every one of our themes offers these elements in a consistent, elegant form.

Our wedding websites run throughout the planning period, on the wedding day itself and for a few months afterwards. During that time guests can come back, browse the gallery and remember your big day. Once the active period ends, the data is deleted in line with our privacy policy. On the blog we describe in detail what the life cycle of a wedding website looks like, from order through personalisation to expiry.

The cost of a wedding website depends on the package chosen and the level of personalisation. At Nasz Wielki Dzień we offer packages starting from PLN 300 for a ready-made theme with basic personalisation. For couples looking for a fully custom project, we prepare quotes tailored to budget and expectations. In every case the cost is a one-off - we don't charge monthly or yearly fees, and the site runs for the whole agreed period at no extra cost. On our blog we compare prices across the market and explain what's included in each package.

Preparing your content is one of the first steps after ordering your wedding website. You'll need: your names and wedding date, the address of the church or registry office, the venue address, the order of the day (ceremony time, dinner, first dance, cake), dress code information, contact details for the witnesses, information about nearby accommodation, a bank account number or gift list, good-quality photos of you together (at least 3 to 5), and optionally a short story about your relationship. On the blog you'll find a complete content checklist and tips on how to write each section so it sounds natural and inviting.

Some couples wonder whether a Facebook event or an Instagram post is enough instead of a wedding website. The answer is simple: social media is a great addition, but it can't replace a dedicated website. On Facebook you can't build an RSVP form with menu choices, add an interactive map with multiple pins, keep a consistent look, or control the order information appears in. A wedding website is one fixed place guests can bookmark and come back to any time - no algorithms, notifications or ads. On the blog we describe in detail when it's worth using social media alongside a wedding website.

On the blog we answer the questions couples ask us most often. Here are a few of them:

  • Can I edit the content after the website goes live?
  • Does the website work on phones and tablets?
  • How do I send guests the link - text, Messenger or Instagram?
  • What happens to guest data after the wedding?
  • Can I add music or video to the wedding website?
  • How quickly will I get my finished website after ordering?
  • Can I have a website in two languages for guests from abroad?

You'll find answers to these and many other questions in our blog articles and in the FAQ. If you couldn't find an answer to your question, get in touch - we reply within 24 hours.

Once your wedding website is live, you get a unique link which most often reaches guests as a QR code printed on the paper invitation. You can also send the same address by text, Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp. A personal message works best - guests are more likely to open a link sent directly by the couple than one from a group chat. Invitations go out 8 to 6 months before the wedding, and it's worth reminding anyone who hasn't replied around four months before the day. On our blog we describe tried-and-tested sending strategies and message templates you can copy and adapt to your own style.

The security of guest data is our priority. Every wedding website at Nasz Wielki Dzień runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data from the RSVP form is stored securely and available only to the couple. We don't share information with third parties, we don't show ads and we don't install marketing trackers. Once the active period ends, all guests' personal data is deleted. The website isn't indexed by search engines unless the couple decides otherwise. On the blog we explain how we handle privacy and exactly what happens to the data after the wedding.

Every one of our themes is fully customisable. You can change the main colours, fonts, section layout, photos, text, icons and the order of elements. We also add sections on request - for example a song request board, an engagement photo gallery, a countdown in a chosen style, a section about your story, parking information or special notes for guests. Every change is included in the package price - you don't pay extra for changing a colour or adding a photo. The end result looks like a custom project, not a ready-made template. On the blog we show personalisation examples and compare before-and-after versions.

An online wedding website is a communication tool for your guests, not a substitute for a wedding planner. We don't plan your menu, decorations or logistics for you - but we make communicating with your guests much easier. Thanks to the RSVP form, map, order of the day and practical information section, your guests have everything in one place. That means fewer phone calls asking "what time do we start?" and "where's the parking?". And you get a quick overview of confirmations, menu preferences and any allergies - without keeping a spreadsheet.

We work with couples from across Poland. Our wedding websites are ordered by couples from Kielce, Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Łódź, Katowice, Lublin and many smaller towns. We work fully remotely - the whole process, from ordering through personalisation to launch, happens online. It doesn't matter where you live or where the wedding takes place. We build your website based on the materials and guidelines you send us by email or through the contact form. The turnaround is usually 5 to 7 working days from receiving all the content and photos.

The Nasz Wielki Dzień blog isn't just a guide - it's also a source of inspiration. We publish articles on the topics that matter to couples before the wedding: how to choose a wedding website theme, how much an online invitation costs, what features a good RSVP form should have, what to do when guests don't open the link, and how to plan a wedding website step by step. Check back regularly - new articles appear every few weeks.
